Welcome to BGC, Inc.

BGC, Inc. - Building Greater Communities, started business January 1, 1997, and is a private, non-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors. We have provided independent support coordination services primarily to children and adults who have developmental disabilities and who receive funding through the TN Medicaid Waiver program. Individuals receiving this support comes to us via the Tennessee Department of Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities (DIDD).

The role of an independent support coordinator (ISC) is to help individuals and their families learn about various programs and supports available to them through the Medicaid Waiver program. ISCs also provide information and advocacy to Families regarding appealing decisions made by their insurance companies or other entities.

Support coordination is intended to assist individuals in obtaining needed services and insuring that services are appropriately rendered. ISCs regularly visit with individuals and their families.

BGC, Inc. currently provides services to approximately 465 individuals in a forty-two county area in middle Tennessee. Our staff of about twenty-five works hard to personalize our service to each individual who chooses us as a provider.
